Built for everyone who wants to use it.
Captions on every film, keyboard control of every feature, respect for reduced-motion settings, and a real person to call if something does not work.
01Our commitment
Great Oaks General Contractors, LLC wants everyone in Citrus County to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, magnification or captions. We build and maintain citrushomebuilders.com to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat that as a standing responsibility rather than a one-time check.
02What we have done
- Every film on the site carries open captions, and every voice recording is transcribed in the captions verbatim.
- The site is fully operable from a keyboard: the film players, the crew cards, the build-stage marker and the before-and-after slider all work with Tab, Enter, Space and the arrow keys, and every control has a visible focus outline.
- Photographs and drawings carry descriptive alternative text; decorative animation frames are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text sits on solid backing plates over photographs and video, and colour contrast meets or exceeds the AA ratio throughout.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site respects it: background video, the scroll-driven turret descent and the drawn-to-built photo effect are replaced with still images and plain text.
- The layout reflows to a single column on phones and at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling, and no content depends on hover alone.
- Headings, landmarks and a skip link let screen-reader users move by section on every page.
03Known limitations
A few things are still on our list. The sound-on film players rely on the browser's own controls, which vary between browsers. The before-and-after photo slider is a visual comparison; the same information is given in the text beside it. If you find anything else that does not work for you, we want to know.

06Standards and review
This statement follows the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 principles and the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines published by the W3C. We review the site against them whenever we add new features, and at least once a year. Last review: September 30, 2026.
