Second-generation Florida builders.

Great Oaks is a family business in the truest sense: a builder raised in the trade, his wife running the office, and forty years of Florida construction behind every home. When you call, you reach the people building it.

Same name on the sign. Same man behind it.

A trade-show table, a hand-lettered sign and a young builder who had already learned the trade from his father. The trucks are wrapped now and the office has a street address, but the person you shake hands with has not changed.

Hands-on through every project, on site every day. The quality and craftsmanship his father was known for is the standard he holds on every job — and the reason most clients leave as friends.

Kurt is on the job. Rebecca keeps the schedule.

A family company means the owner is standing on the stair the day it is poured, not reading about it in a report. That is how it has worked for forty years, and it is why the people who build alongside us have stayed as long as they have.

Six people. One schedule.

Hover a portrait and they will tell you what they do here. Every one of them is on the phone, on the job, or at the desk when you call — there is no call center between you and the people building your home.

Notes to the owner · In Kurt's words
  1. Great Oaks is proud to be second-generation Florida home builders. The quality and craftsmanship my father was known for is the standard I hold on every project — and I am hands on through all of them.
  2. My wife Rebecca manages the office, so when you call, you reach the people who are building your home. We know how stressful building can be, and we have built our process to make it anything but.
  3. We believe in good communication, and in doing what we say we are going to do. On budget and on schedule is not a slogan; it is our reputation in this county.
  4. Our motto has never changed: if you can dream it, we can build it. We do not believe in the words it can't be done.
